Top mount sink and under-counter basin

The terms ‘top mount sink’ and ‘under-counter basin’ actually represent two layers of meaning in home decoration. In the kitchen sink, it generally refers to the installation process; in the bathroom basin, it generally refers to the shape.

There are also two ways to install an undercounter basin,

one is to open a hole slightly smaller than the outer edge of the sink;

another is to open a hole directly on the inner edge of the sink,

and then open a hole in the countertop where the mixer is located, which has a more refreshing effect.

The sink is glued on from the underside of the countertop and then fixed with clips or stone bonding.

 

The advantage of this is that water and debris on the worktop can be easily swept into the sink, making it very easy to clean.

The installation is more troublesome and generally requires the sink

to be sent to the cabinetry factory for gluing during the customisation process,

which requires an additional undercounter basin installation fee.

The disadvantage is that it is not easy to change the basin later,

because it is glued to the countertop with a strong adhesive such as lucite,

and you have to change the countertop together with it.

 

Several installation methods in the process of choosing a sink also need to pay attention to the edge of the sink shape,

the basin, undercounter installation suitable for the edge of the sink flat wider,

and the installation of the basin can generally be.

2, bathroom washbasin

 

Bathroom basin “on the table” and “under the table” generally refers to the shape,

the basin itself is above the countertop is generally called “on the basin”, and vice versa.
